Paragon Implant Company (“Paragon”), a leading innovator in the industry, is thrilled to announce the launch of GEN5™ and GEN5+™, the next generation of dental implants.  

After decades of being the leader in dental implant innovations — from founding Core-Vent in 1982 and introducing the Screw-Vent® and Tapered Screw-Vent® systems, to creating Implant Direct® and shaping the Value Segment of the implant industry — Gerald Niznick, DMD, MSD, founded Paragon in 2022. Paragon has its manufacturing and cleanroom facility in Calabasas, CA, and its distribution, cleanroom and education center in Las Vegas, NV. Dr. Niznick utilized his knowledge, experience and access to a dedicated workforce to develop solutions to address the issues, particularly peri-implantitis, emerging in the industry. Now with FDA clearance, two newly issued patents and three pending, Paragon launches its fifth-generation GEN5™ and GEN5+™ dental implants. 

GEN5™ is the first implant on the market to offer Vertical Flexibility, allowing the clinicians to determine the final position of the implant to account for variations in the patient’s anatomy. This is achieved with the 2mm machined, anodized neck and depth gauge lines (Pat. Pend.). GEN5™ can be placed bone-level or supra-crestal. Placing the implant 1mm supra-crestal moves the connection away from the bone and provides an undisturbed zone for soft-tissue attachment.      

GEN5+™ has all the design advantages of the GEN5™ plus added vertical and prosthetic flexibility. Its 2mm extender converts to a universal MUA or a Locator compatible abutment by attaching the appropriate prosthetic screws, available in various heights. Providing the trans-mucosal part of the abutment friction-fit to the implant saves chair-time, assures a stable connection and dramatically reduces prosthetic abutment inventory.
