Beyond Implant Essentials is two days of building upon your current understanding of posterior implant dentistry. The program will consist of exquisitely documented cases, from start to finish, of routinely challenging clinical dilemmas to increase clinical competency. Case studies of quadrant socket preservation, osseodensification, and crestal sinus lifts will be detailed from initial presentation to final restoration. Free-handed versus guided surgery will be evaluated in multiple cases as well as pros and cons of immediate/delayed implant placement. Cases will be shown in both digital and analog workflows for comparison. Multiple demonstrations and hands-on tabletop exercises will be completed.
    • Diagnosis and treatment plan multiple adjacent posterior implants
    • Evaluate osteotomy preparation using traditional end-cutting drills versus densifying drills
    • Understand implant supported bridges, prosthetic material selection, abutment design, engaging versus non-engaging abutments
    • Evaluating and managing compromised ridges at time of implant placement
    • Explore immediate posterior implant placement, socket management
    • Review osseodensification and crestal sinus lifts
    • Discuss horizontal ridge augmentation, crestal and remote incisions, techniques, literature, pros and cons
    • Demystify socket preservation in compromised sites, bony defects, large infections, granulation tissue management
    • Analyze CBCT’s, software overview, digital treatment planning
    • Implement 3D printing, discuss options for hardware, printing materials (hard and soft tissue), digital implant analogs, scan-bodies
    • Intra-oral scanning demonstration for surgical guide fabrication and final restorative management. IOS versus intra-oral photogrammetry, A to Z
    • Multiple osteotomy preparation on models, free handed and guided for accuracy, analysis and comparison
  • Anterior Implant Esthetics
Location: 8840 Russell Road, Ste. 210, Las Vegas, NV 89148

    Speakers: Gerald Niznick, DMD, MSD
    JB White, DDS
    CE Credits:14
The anterior implant esthetics program is designed to teach clinicians the art and science of replacing anterior teeth in a way that no one can tell any dentistry has been completed. It will discuss all aspects of treatment in both healed ridges and fresh extraction sockets to final restoration delivery in both a digital and analog workflow. Diagnosis and treatment planning will be broken down into a step-by-step process so both the beginner and advanced implantologist will be leaving feeling confident to treat both maxillary and mandibular anterior sites.
    • Understand the dimensional ridge changes following anterior tooth loss
    • Review the literature as to socket preservation techniques and ways to control alveolar socket resorption in anterior teeth
    • Learn the parameters of Pink and White esthetic score for anterior implant esthetic evaluation
    • Discuss and evaluate techniques for atraumatic extraction
    • Learn the hard and soft tissue response following different gap management alternatives
    • Discuss ideal implant position within the alveolar housing in all dimensions for ideal esthetics and screw retained restorations
    • Review current anterior custom abutment options and their effect on soft-tissue

CBCT evaluation, implant components and armamentarium, osteotomy preparation, surgical motor and kit details will all be discussed. The restorative process will be broken down in both digital and analog workflows.
    • Understand the different clinical presentations for future implant placement
    • Single posterior tooth replacement from A to Z
    • Implant nomenclature, armamentarium and parts and pieces
    • Analog/digital restorative workflow and lab communication
    • Principles of osteotomy preparation, surgical motor setup, hydration, RPM’s
    • Surgical kit setup and best practices
    • Socket preservation, bone and membrane options
    • Cemented versus screw-retained restorations
    • Engaging versus non-engaging abutments
    • Crestal bone stability and implant longevity
    • Suture materials and sizes
    • Live suturing demonstration (four necessary knots to know) and exercise
    • Socket preservation demonstration, membrane and suturing
    • Osteotomy preparation on dental model, mandibular first molar with GEN5™ implant placement. Both free-hand and guided.
