Dr. Niznick's Dinner Lecture Tour
Dr. Gerald Niznick’s 45-year history of dental implant innovations, marked by 35 U.S. patents with 3 more pending, has led up to the introduction of his 5th Generation implant system. This lecture reviews key aspects of dental implant design intended to reduce both biological and mechanical complications. Implants with rough surfaces and threads to the top often require sub-crestal placement to avoid soft tissue complications, but that will reduce stability and result in bone loss below the implant-abutment junction. The GEN5™ implant’s machined, anodized neck with depth gauge score lines provides vertical flexibility on placement, accommodates uneven ridges and minimizes the need for bone grafting. The GEN5+™ implant with a 2mm friction-fit extender that converts to a standard MUA, or accepts a variety of abutment options, reduces chair-time, inventory and component costs. The NizPlant™ is a 1-piece implant with a dual function platform for over-denture attachment and MUA applications. Dr. Niznick’s 5th generation implants represent a Paradigm Shift™ in implant dentistry with unprecedented advantages in simplicity, versatility, economy and long-term predictability.
Implant Essentials
This two-day program will consist of lecture, demonstrations, and hands-on simulations designed for the clinician looking to implement surgical implant placement into their practice. It is an introductory course to build foundational knowledge in diagnosing and treatment planning for long-term dental implant success in the single posterior site. CBCT evaluation, implant components and armamentarium, osteotomy preparation, surgical motor and kit details will all be discussed. The restorative process will be broken down in both digital and analog workflows.
Beyond Implant Essentials
Beyond Implant Essentials is two days of building upon your current understanding of posterior implant dentistry. The program will consist of exquisitely documented cases, from start to finish, of routinely challenging clinical dilemmas to increase clinical competency. Case studies of quadrant socket preservation, osseodensification, and crestal sinus lifts will be detailed from initial presentation to final restoration. Free-handed versus guided surgery will be evaluated in multiple cases as well as pros and cons of immediate/delayed implant placement. Cases will be shown in both digital and analog workflows for comparison. Multiple demonstrations and hands-on tabletop exercises will be completed.
Full-Arch Implant Supported Restorations
The full-arch curriculum will be a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment planning program designed to teach the discerning clinician the principles of treating the person, not just the teeth. It will focus on a facially generated treatment plan philosophy regarding tooth position to dictate alveoplasty and implant platform position based on prosthetic space requirements for long-term success. The program will introduce new digital tools that can streamline fundamentals, increase communication and expedite prosthetics.
Anterior Implant Esthetics
The anterior implant esthetics program is designed to teach clinicians the art and science of replacing anterior teeth in a way that no one can tell any dentistry has been completed. It will discuss all aspects of treatment in both healed ridges and fresh extraction sockets to final restoration delivery in both a digital and analog workflow. Diagnosis and treatment planning will be broken down into a step-by-step process so both the beginner and advanced implantologist will be leaving feeling confident to treat both maxillary and mandibular anterior sites.
